    HELP****

Okay fellow V3i users, I ran into a situation on Sat. Was out with Rob and my detector lost all the info on the upper part of the screen. No VDI, no Picture icon, No depth indicator. I dropped a quarter and ran my coil over it ....nothing, just my usual hum in the headphone. Went home and recharged the battery, took it outside, dropped a quarter, yes got my VDI but it read 39. I was in C&J, changed to single freq (2.5) and then the VDI went to 81.

    Has anyone experienced this

    Re: HELP****

So does it work correctly now in all the single frequency modes? Is your display back to normal? What mode were you in when you got the skewed VDI reading of 39? Correlate/ Best Data? Just a little more information would helpful trying to figure this one out. Never had anything like that happen to date.

    Jack,

When I got the 39 reading all I can say is that I was in the factory C&J. No adjustments had been made. I haven't checked all the single freq's but my display looks normal now

Looks like my V3i is heading to the shop. I called White's and they suspect a faulty controller board. Oh well back to the prism IV
