Bounty Hunter Lone Star on the Beach ...

Does anyone know how a Bounty Hunter Lone Star performs on the beaches in the salty sand? It's what I have right now and want to go to the beach and play around with it, but the beach is an hour and a half away. With the price of gas and all, I'd kinda like to know approximately how it will perform ...

Here is an article written by Andy Sabisch on the Lone Star. It does touch on detecting the beach a little. He tells you how to set it up for that type of hunting. All in all, it will get some modern change and can hit some rings too, but I would not expect much of it to be real deep. Also I don't know how it will react to the black sand or even the wetter parts of the beach. I would go to the beach to catch some sun and relax, that way if you don't find much it was still well worth the trip thumbsup01
