    Ace 350 depth readings

Anyone have issues with the depth readings on the Ace 350? Mine will say 2-4 inches when the item is on the surface. If the item is 4 inches down it will jump from 0-8 inches, never stabilizes.

Remember that the depth reading (on all detectors) is calibrated to a piece of metal that is coin-sized. Therefore if the actual target is larger than a coin, the depth reading will be less than the actual depth, and if it's smaller than a coin, the depth reading will be greater than the actual depth.

In my experience, 4 to 5 inches is the maximum stable/valid reading that the ACE is able to provide.
