New guy with best find (nothing special)

I have had a detector for 10 years, but really only started detecting the last month. Took that long to figure out how to use it Until I learned what my detector was telling me, it just made these strange noises. This is a picture of my best find. Compared to other post it is meager, but is was my first gold (14Kt.) [attachimg=1]

Yes, I found it with the T2 five minutes into my hunt, just 20` from the car. It read like a nickle.

Nice ring 396nova. I'm always so surprised how nicely silver cleans up.

I've got a standard T2 and the quick recovery and separation is incredible . When I want to travel light and cover a lot of ground with an 11 coil that is now my go to . I'm still a novice with it to me the iffy tones are a bit more difficult to discern than with the Explorer SE or the White's M-6 but I'm slowly getting the hang of it . You made a good choice getting the T2 LE , I've read that boost mode is awesome . thumbsup01

Yeah...that beep-beep-beep noise is a real problem. But I would have to disagree with you. Finding a 14k gold ring is ALWAYS something special! Congratulations on a great and exciting find! ...love those rings...

Nothing meager about 14k gold Very nice ring!

I almost bit the bullet earlier today and bought a lightly used T2 because I have heard so many good things about them, but I decided I probably have enough weapons in my arsenal.
