From the land of the Bluenose.....rather dank day but Marie and I decided to go for a little drive to Peggy's Cove for gingerbread and ice cream.
I also wanted to see if there still was the post office in the lighthouse as I had been told nonetheless by a fellow on a UK forum that it had closed down..............and it was! Have a few of the lighthouse cancels from this location.
The Sou'Wester certainly hadn't changed in appearance.
Of course any trip here means a trip to the penny press to get one of those famous pressed pennies. Not many of these machines in the province.
Wasn't long till Marie was gobbling down the treat with me not far behind! Sum gud youz!
There were a few interesting signs in the resturant with that Maritime flavour.
Of course the wall of fame that is dear to this bouy's heart.
Got out of there with a few coins left in my pocket as Marie spied something she had a hankering for.........Lord love a duck!
Drove out of there with a sawbuck in my wallet and this great view.
Of course some things are etched in stone...a tribute to the fishermen of the area.
Pretty bleak this time of year.
Thank the Cods this place was closed as I would have spent that last bill in my pocket!
Anyway was a good day so here is the contest part of this post.
