1260 Too Noisy To Effectively Use, Fisher Repair Center:huh:

My brother bought a 126 off Ebay and it has problems. It chatters and makes noise like the speaker is shorting or something is cutting out, yet the headphones still have this noise. You can't get rid og the noise unless you turn it off. It is basically useless like it is, even though you can hunt with it a little. Does Fisher still support the 1260, and what is the guestimate on the expense charge?

    Thanks,
    Martin

Hit the link --> http://www.fisherlab.com/contact.htm and ask them. Worst case will be a No.

Good Luck and hope this 1260 can be fixed.

(if it can not be fixed, can I have it?? )

We found something out about the issue. After pulling pn the Disc nob trying to pull it off, the problem went away. It would come back if the knob was pushed in hard. Pot must be goofy. You ever cracked a 126o apart to know what is inside? martin.
