    Getting Certified UPDATED

Well not me, just some coins. Rob and I attended a coin show in Auburn MA on the 12th. Rob had never been to a coin show before, he loved it. My main reason for going was to sit down with the ANACS grader and submit some coins. Four of the following my wife got me for Christmas and 1 I had found. I submitted 1889 cc Morgan, 1892 s Morgan, 1894 s Barber Half, 1895 s/s Barber quarter, and a CWT 1863 MI900b-1a. It will be awhile before I get them back, I used t he Economy service. When they get back I'll post an update. Not expecting high grades.

The only reason I have done this is because for example on the 1892 s Morgan there is big $ gap between F12 and xf40. goes from $55 to $500. The gaps between the 1894 s half and the 1895 s quarter are not as big but still large.

    Re: Getting Certified

Well the coins finally arrived. Here is the report:

    1889 cc Morgan F12
    1892 s Morgan VF30 details cleaned
    1894 s Barber 1/2 VG10 details cleaned
    1895 s/s Barber quarter EF45 details cleaned
    1863 CWT MI900-1a F15

Overall I am pleased with the grading. One thing I learned is never submit to ANACS when they have a special going on.

What are the chances of another forum member being at that show. It would have been nice to meet you. If we ever go again I'll be sure to try to contact you. Do you go to this show often?
