Where to start Friday, hunted the first property that belongs to the real estate co. that gave me permission to hunt their stuff. Results from Friday, 1908 Barber, 1918 Merc. and a 1943 Washington. Started raining Saturday morning. Rained all day Sat. and Sat. night. Got up this morning and the rain had stopped. Decided about 12:00 I would go back and try the back yard. You can tell from the pictures how much water is in the ground. Hole fills up about as fast as you dig it. Anyway, dug some clad. mem's and four wheats, a 40 and a 1949-D. Two were toast. Then I got a Screaming 97, 98 on the F75. I thought OK another piece of junk. But. the confidence meter was pegged. So, I dug. When I flipped the plug over and saw what you see in the picture, I thought oh no, another dinasaur coin out of a cereal box. Then I looked closer and made out the Liberty head. I couldn't believe it. A 1900-O Morgan dollar. WOW! I swear I'm still shaking. I put the coin in the truck and tried to keep hunting, but it was just about impossible. I did manage to find a 1923 Merc. I kept going back to the truck to look at the dollar. I finally gave up and went home. This also the oldest coin I have found to date. I will be back. Thanks for looking and HH.
