Cannot for the life of me decide where to go or just troll around some parts of town looking for something promising. I guess I'll go where ever the highway takes me!

Wow, there are so many places to go swing a coil here, I don't know why I'd ever leave town unless I knew a spot was virgin.
So many sidewalk easements, parks, old homes, etc..... I have trouble deciding where to actaully stop and detect.

In situations like this, a school yard, rec park or the town common is a good place to go and try some new things with your detector. Worst case scenario you find a bunch of clad and a couple interesting things. Good luck out there!

Hey, Jack... many a time I found myself driving down our driveway and just sitting there at the end of it for 5 or 10 minutes... scratchin' my head.
Remembering the brake, the gas, and that thing you turn, helps too.
No problem here, I just head for the woods. So many places where the guard has camped I could hunt for the next ten years and not cover the same ground twice. thumbsup01

Actual parks, schools, and old churches are pretty limited in my area so I often find myself with time to detect by no good place to hunt. Since getting my Etrac I have re-hit several places with good success though!
yeah i've had that problem so many sites so little time which one do i hit

Right now I'm having the 'too much time and so few sites' problem I don't want to have to drive to a different part of the country every time I want to detect, so I'm going to have to get creative around here soon.

I spend an inordinate amount of time before a hunt hemming and hawing about where to go...

I usually just head to a park on a hunch. Sometimes it works out for me.. I found a new spot in a rough area yesterday but I'll be there Sunday morning early..

I also struggle with whether or not to save a site or to hunt it to death as soon as I discover it.
