    Had a good day yesterday.     the corps button is beautiful "CD" The 1820's eagle button is another good one , what is the piece in the 4th picture middle right side with the hole in it ? got any more pictures of it ?

    My hunting partner said it came off the bottom of a flint lock pistol , it looks like that to me too. Its shaped like it goes on the bottom of the handle of a old pistol.

    very possible the reason I was pointing it out . I assume its kind of cup shaped on the other side .

    another homesite with in about the 3 miles of the honeyhole we have pulled 14 military buttons from this site in two trips. The honey hole wound up giving up 35 military buttons so far.
