Found this at the old zoo about a foot down. The 2 pieces were near each other and are both lead. The disc looking piece is around silver dollar size.

Likely a henway, BUT if it's not, it may the pivoting lid to a sugar bowl ???

You didn't say what size the first piece is but it looks like an old pipe hanger if it's big enough.

But the first item... Looks to me like a mangled lip + clasp to a change purse.
Future goals: Capped bust coin, Flowing hair LC, Classic head LC, VT copper, MA copper, Pistareen, Two-cent pc, SLQ, GW inaugural button, Excelsior button, Civil war token, and a gold ring.
Could be the top to an old salt. Some had the slot for the little spoon.
