2 hours at new colonial site. Some nice finds.

Enjoyed the couple hours out in the nice sunshine and started metal detecting a new colonial property. Though I have an agreement that I wouldn't dig in the yard, she said I can do the rest of the property.

The rest of the property is about 100 acres or so and most is very overgrown. But there are also some open areas closer to the river.

I spent a good about of time on my hands and knees crawling through the shrubs to get these beautiful targets. Today finds, 2 Crotal Bells (they both still ring), a pewter button, a Batwing colonial shoe buckle and don't know what the scroll decoration thing is from but I like it. Okay, time to check for ticks..

Great finds, Scott! I love the crotal bells and the batwing buckle. The decorative item is interesting as well. You have a lot of ground to cover and I'm sire there is a lot more there.

Can you imagine what's in the yard?

I hope you don't find any ticks.

Gotta love those bells! I only have 10 or 11 of them. Not a lot of batwings either. I don't know if that's a shoe buckle? Looks like you have a winner site there, Scott!
