    Colonial digging with Danny!

Got out with Danny LaMontagne yesterday for some good old colonial relic digging. Danny had the hot coil. It was so hot I thought my machine was broken. I recovered and dug several firsts for me. Highlights of the day were the monogrammed Dandy Button with the letter "B" for Bailey; my first watch winder and it has some gold gilt remaining; my first Sportsman Button with a Lion on guard against a snake; a fancy two piece button with lots of gilt, an iron knee buckle; a possible flint wrap and possibly an iron ink well.Name: 20161212_093441.jpg

Donnie I love the monogrammed button What are the odds of you finding a letter B to go with your last name ?? It only reaffirms my belief that some things are only for you and your meant to find them! the patina on the lion button is awesome as is the gilt on the small two piece . great finds and it was another great time in the woods Donnie !

I really thought that my machine was frozen after the third time you called out and said "I've got another screamer over here!" I started looking at my machine like "What's wrong with you?" LOL! It was a GREAT day and I'm glad I was there to see the smile on your face when you dug that Seated Quarter.

Congrats Donnie on some really great buttons! Love those old hunting buttons. Lions, pheasants, rabbits, dogs - bring 'em on!
