    Bucket List Find

    Hello everyone!

I've been working to get access to this area for two years, finally I received the 'go ahead'.

The area is about 3 acres total and dates back to the late 1840's/ early 50's. On this side (left) of the Mississippi river = dream land!!

I wandered around for about 90 minutes before getting this deep hit -

I never really thought I'd get this one... but I am very thankful I did.

A tough find anywhere, especially so on our side of the river. Although I had another 30 minutes to hunt, I turned off my machine
and headed to my buddy's house to share the coin.

Both Ron and I will be heading back to this site later in the week. Hopefully my buddy will be able to cross the same one of his list too.

Thanks for looking and best of luck on your next hunt.

Joe, nothing like knocking one off the bucket list. And that is a fine coin to find. Many of us are still seeking a capped bust silver. Hope your return trip can produce again.

It was a bucket list coin I really didn't expect to find Al. She's definitely worn... but still counts.

I never thought I would have the words Capped Bust Silver in one of my posts. It is surprising and addicting to see what pops up under the next plug.
Hopefully Ron will be able to cross this one off his list too after our next hunt here. This would make my day. By the way... loved your CP Half Dime!!

Hey there Dan. First thing I thought of when pulling this one from the ground was... "This is one like Dan, Dave and George find out there".

Nothing quite like the beautiful 1825 specimen you found recently.

    Thank you again everybody.

Sooner or later you get your coil over one in Wi. There's bound to be one just waiting for your coil to get over.

Certainly a bucket list find. With all the large cents and colonials I've found in the last year as well as 8 pieces of Spanish silver I've yet to find a US bust silver coin. Nice find. Color me jealous.
