A small Gold ring and a lot of indians and silver

I have had great success the last 3 weeks or so detecting. I rediscovered an old park I had given up on as all fill but I decided to try again and go really slow and been rewarded with a bunch of 1800's coins. 4 of the Indians and that Canadian LC from 1888 came at this park. The oldest coin from there was a well preserved 1864 indian. It has an old dent/scratch on her cheek and ribbon where the L would be. So I am not sure if it is the L version or not. I know that the tip of the bust line is sharp on the L version and rounded off more on the regular version but I can't tell for sure. But it is a pretty one and any indian that cleans up well puts a smile on my face.

The gold ring came on a Memorial Day hunt at another very old park. It came up as a fairly solid 10 and when I dug it there were 2 nails with it. A very nice surprise to see. It was at least 8 inches down and is VERY small so it is a baby or kids ring for sure. 14K gold.

Also found 4 silvers and some buttons during the hunt. And a pristine square nail with some mint luster on it among other old relics. The other silvers I found during my lunch breaks.

AMAZING haul of goodies Jared! I don't even know where to start. Those green Indians are so beautiful (Don will be so jealous). Congrats on the gold ring and all the silver coins too. Surprisingly I have that exact same hair barrette with the flowers on it. I think I dug it in Ohio on a trip with Tony. Congrats and happy digging, Dave.

Actually the park we started at before we doorknocked 20 homes is where I found many of these items. The Equinox had not come out yet. I still think about when you guys came here and even though we got so many permissions we only found a couple silvers...still bummed about that. I need to go visit you guys and meet Dave and Tony!

Yeah maybe you are starting slow but you always seem to find a yard that has 10 silver halves in it.

Great batch of coins. I have been quite lazy with the Nox on lower signals but your "10" gold ring should push me a bit to digger a few of those signals. Nice recoveries, 1 week into retirement - Wisconsin Digger

I only dig a 10 or similar numbers at sites that are really old. And if they are deep. It’s paid off a couple times with a gold ring.

I missed this post ( along with many others ) also . Fantastic coins , ring and pictures . The ring could possibly have been made by a Navajo craftsman . Any distinctive marks on the inside of the band ? Most I have seen have been made in silver a gold one is quite a rare find . Congratulations !

Great work Bucknut! Glad to see you got the gold ring!! Going slow and digging pays off. I think too many people are impatient in this hobby when it comes to park hunting.
