Back out this morning before work first target was this 12k GF ( gold filled) horse pin, a few minutes later hit a nice high tone and out popped this 1898 6 pence that was turned into a charm dated june 2nd , 1900. I also got persmission for some other areas of the property that were previously off limits I feel a mental health day off from work coming up

Hi, cool finds. That 1898 6 pence was in the Philadelphia area? I'm in South Jersey and I've dug a bunch of KGs, but never a 6P. Cool!

Yes Ken I am in the suburbs of philly ( detecting in Philly is illegal unless on private property) I too dug a kg2 dated 1750, the mansion was completed in 1880 but the site was colonial prior to that.

Many have tried the archeologists have a hold on things in the city and a general lack of understanding about the hobby has allowed them to convince the city detecting affects their ability to study potential sites. I have no issues outside of the city most of the suburbs and surronding areas have been more then generous.
