found this 6 inches down,4ft from a big oak, on the summit of a man made hill (civil war site in uk.)with my son and daughter

Pretty neat find. I am a little confused. You say you found this on a civil war site in the UK? England, right? Or here in the states? Sweet find regardless.

the English civil war was from 1642-1651 i believe Cody .

yes its in the u.k, nr to where the first and last battle took place - worcester

It is an incredible find, without question! I'm glad that your son and daughter were able to experience the recovery with you. It definitely looks like a religious figure, possibly a Friar. I wonder what kind of metal it is made of?

ahhhh the war of the roses, oliver cromwell and the new model army , that war shaped the country into what it is now............................................... that oliver cromwell has a lot to answer for !!!!!! :uk:usaflag::

possibily lead, may have been a detailed musket powder loader,due to the long spout?
