heres a news link about a bronze iron age helmet that was recovered in Kent . England has learned so much of their history in the last few years since passing that antiquities law there. everyone seems to benefit from this legislation , the museums , the hobbists , the land-owners and the english people by knowing more of their heritage. it would be nice to see a similar act passed here in the states.

Del, thanks for this bit of news. What an interesting find, and the finder wants to remain unknown. Sorry but if that was myself I would be beating my chest screaming, ya that was me.

The law that Britian has concerning antiquities is great. If only the British archiologists(sp) would explain to their American counterparts the benefits of the law we might have a chance of getting that law passed here.
