Hi Folks,

Seemed like the white stuff would never leave but finally was able to get out for a good hunt. Me and a buddy hit a cellar hole site that was new to us but was obviously detected before. The harmonica reeds, lamp parts, Indian Head Pennies and tons of iron had me thinking it was a mid to late 1800's site. After my buddy found a a nice MA copper and a King George or William, I realized the site was around for a while longer than that.

I managed a toasty 1820 Matron Head and and 1880 IHP along with a few buttons and typical cellar hole finds.

Looks like you found the front or back plate of a clock movement. If it's the back plate it'll have the manufacturer stamped on it and can sometimes be dated. Congrats on the finds!

Nice finds and :congrats: on braving the snow covered ground. Getting a LC and a IH is a great day in my book.
