why is the last number on the etrac 50 always a old rusty nail

I got numorus signals today 12-50 14-50 11-50 and all of them were old rusty square nails.This is making me not dig that last number if it shows 50.I did get a large Olympic coin today though and the last number rang up 47 so should I stop digging at 48 maybe, what would you all suggest I have a lot of silver goals I have to hit before the end of the year and I don't want to mess with the number 50 if all its going to produce is rusty nails.The etrac is doing good.I went back and forth between smooth and normal in the reponse mode.I tried long and it was noisey as heck.Tommorow im going to do some door knocking and figure this 50 thing!!!

Is the cyclical spectrum starts at 0 goes up to 50, then begins back again, your getting the overlap...kinda like seeing a double rainbow.. :twirlingeyes:

The trick is pinpointing on these targets, iron will hit in one spot, but pin point in another spot an inch or more off...silver won't, it his and pinpoints where it is
