I found this a few years back .in a friends back yard :detecting: in Terre haute Indiana.I think it has something to do with the railroad.not sure.can anyone help? thanks drew :groovy: :bananadance:

yes its a luggage tag for a railroad or stagecoach or even a steamboat , my guess would be the first a railroad tag.

Looks like a baggage id tag from the Erie& Illinois Railroad to me....
