I found these two on a cellar hole lip, about 15 feet from each other. They are light and bendable like aluminum. Any ideas? Thanks, Drew
:thinkingabout: :thinkingabout: Drew if they are aluminum then they are probably not very old (1900's) but they look like maybe they are thin stamped copper or brass and might have been in a fire. :dontknow:

See if they stick to magnet. They may just be very thin tinned steel.

:thinkingabout: I'm curious too...
makes me think of a colonial attempt at a pop-tab lol or maybe a colonial (ace) bandage holder like you'd squeeze the ends in to keep fabric together...
