Here`s some other cool stuff that I`ve found. The New York staff button I know, the other one I`m not sure of. The railroad tags are from the B&O. And the medical badge I`m not sure of a date either.

Some more excellent finds. Any markings on the back?

Thanks Buck, Yes on the NY staff it says extra quality. The R.R tags are just #s, nothing on the medical badge and I can`t read the back of the eagle button, but there is something there.

Nice finds. Pretty cool, I just left The Rebel's thread where he just found a railway tag! Looks like a theme.

Most of the things that I find and don`t know how old they are ,I set them aside in a plastic container for a latter day. Being apart of a great forum like this one I learn a lot from other members. I`m still looking for information the eagle button and the medical badge. Any ideas? Thanks.

the small cuff sized eagle button in the lower right corner Robbie?? if so its a "great seal" type Army button . these were used from 1902 and are still used today , yours looks like it has some age to it and I would guess it dates from WWI to WWII . the medical caduceus insignia is a collar disk for a army doctor and could date to around the same time era.

Yes Dan, that`s it. Thank you ,I`ve often wondered about the age and I haven`t found a exact match.

Thanks everyone for your comments. They were all found behind a middle school (except the medical badge) and at first I thought the buttons my have came off of a kids coat.
