I guess Minelab was missing out on all that entry level business, losing sales to Bounty Hunter, Garrett, Whites, etc.

And those entry level machines is a HUGE business these days.

Saw an airtest on another forum and the Go Find was beaten by all the other entry level detectors tested. Actually the Whites Coinmaster did the best on the airtest and the Go Find looked very weak. I know that was just one video but until better data is posted by someone, I'm out on this one.

it does not surprise me the whites coinmaster was the best on the test , ive always said its a magic stick when it comes to depth,i once found a Vermont state copper with mine at 15inches !!!

I'm interested to see what kind of reviews these things get. I'm actually not a huge fan of the design, I think they look cheap. But looks can be deceiving. I'd still stick with the American made garretts and whites, they make great entry level machines.

Minelabs do not do good in air test but on the ground they can go deep. E-tacs air test is weak but in the ground look out.

I just bought the Go Find 20 for my 7 year old son. I paid $95.00 and free shipping (brand new!!). I liked it from the standpoint of being very compact, (without taking apart), very light 2.2 pounds, and simple display for a youngster to get an idea of what is hidden. When he gets older and still enjoys the hobby, I will then go the X-Terra series, and eventually to the Etrac. I will try and keep posted to the performance, etc.

Just received the Go Find 20 today! I will have to be honest here, it is not a bad little unit, especially for an up and coming youngster. The display is very nice, and he likes the way things flash when a signal is detected. Getting use to the pinpointing or lets say location of the target within the square coil will be a learning curve for him, but he gets the idea. Will keep posted as to depth on certain items!! But very light weight, batteries are in a good location, and very well balanced, and very adjustable for pretty much any height, within reason. For a turn on a run unit and the $95.00 price tag and free shiping, not bad at all..

I bought the 40 last year for my kids. The machine did an honest air test of 10 inches on a quarter. Unfortunately, the kids never really got into digging so I don't know what real life results are.

I bought a Minelab GoFind 60 for my wife. With all the bells and whistles, it's hard to beat for a $300.00 machine!

My boys 9yo and 5yo love my go find 60 it was so easy for the i went and bought a xterra 705 for myself. We didnt even leave the side yard yet. Me and the oldest have big plans this year. I dug a aluminum can at about 20 inches with the go find 60. I seems pretty powerful once it is aimed at the ground !!
