Does anyone have any operational tips for the ATpro ? I just got one and am not having much luck with it.:shocked03:

start in standard coin and practice listening to the different tones then dig and see what it is. practice , practice , practice

It really does get better with practice. 3 or 4 months of steady use and you'll be a pro. Youtube is your friend too,, lots of good stuff on the AT Pro there.

detected for about 2 hours and then it got cold quick and started to snow, ground was rock hard in places but we sqeeked out some clad,a dog tag and i had 3 wheat's 41,21,10..... there be silver there somewhere !!!!!

Thanks for the insight Lee, I have a much better understanding now. Now I've got to get something on that banner., ......Its not like we are not in the best hunting area of the entire country.

Bam,
I bought my AT Pro 4 months ago. Took me a good 3 months of 6 hours/week to figure it out. I am still learning pro mode for it is different. Different soils/sand seem to yield different signals as well. I suggest sticking to the same type of ground to start. Once you get comfortable with that, then try others. What helped me was starting in Standard mode and when I got a signal, switched to Pro Mode to hear the difference. Then I dug the target. Garrett also has great videos, just do a search on YouTube and watch all the videos or the videos that came with the equipment. Practice makes perfect. Test garden helps too!
