Hello all.

I've been detecting a little over 2 years. I haven't found anything amazing yet, but I find just enough to keep me interested. :) I still work so I usually detect on the weekends and sometimes in the evening during DST.

Welcome from Wisconsin! You're detecting a nice area of the country with a lot of history. Should be a lot of civil war relics out your way. Looking forward to seeing some pics of your finds. What machine are you swinging?

Hello and welcome Bill , you sound like me ( still do that four letter word too , work :overreaction:!! :lol::lol:) and it limits time to swing the coil to weekends . I wish you luck this year and thanks for joining up Bill !!

Thanks guys! As far as the Civil War relics I would have thought I would have at least found a bullet by now but no luck. I did find a buckle a couple weeks ago that I am told is likely 1840-1850s militia. It's in rough shape but I am going to get it restored even though it's probably not worth what it will cost to restore. :lol:

I currently swing a XP Deus. My first year of detecting I used an AT Pro. I liked it, but I was starting to have shoulder trouble so I wanted something lighter. I like the Deus, I just wish coils for it weren't so expensive. I use the 11" but would also like to get the 13". But I'm not paying 450+ for a coil. Supposedly they have a software upgrade coming with a new coil option. It will be interesting to see what that is all about.

Is there a daily finds section here? I don't recall seeing it yet.
