It was too nice not to get for a while on Sunday morning. Hiked out to one of my favorite spots to swing the coil for a couple of hours. It's been at least a couple of years since this site gave up any coppers or even buttons so I was surprised when I actually got a nonferrous signal. It was the only nonferrous target I dug for the hunt.
It's a 1774 KG III halfpenny. Reverse has some nice detail but obverse is pretty shot.

I think you are right Dan. On mine, Britannia's hand is pointing between the T and the A. And the the branch is straighter and is almost touching the bottom leg of the N. I'll see if I can get a decent pic. Obverse is of no help unfortunately.
