Got out with Frank yesterday for a long day of hunting. Was up at 3am and at Franks at 6am, was back home at 6pm.

We hit up 6 sites some we had been to and some we had not. Was nice to go back to some old sites to see what we had missed with our old machines, now that Frank is swing the Deus 2 & I'm swinging the Manticore.

Both machines are super sensitive & find deep targets.

The IH is a no date fatty.

Good work there Rebel. That is a long day. Those 12-15 hour detecting marathons just don't appeal to me as much as they once did. ;)

I hear ya. Switching to a lighter machine made it easier to swing rather than the heavier V3i.

I slept great that night but was still sore.

Great seeing those new machines waking up old sites again! Only a few years ago 12-16 hours swinging was the norm for me, but now I'm down to maybe 8 hours on a good day before the fatigue really sets in. But with my work schedule I'm lucky if I am able to get out for 2 hours at any one time. But maybe when I have more time I'll have to swap out my CTX for a Manticore to lighten the load, although using the swing harness helps in many cases.

That is dedication to the hobby. I switched to the Deus 1 about 7 or 8 years ago because I couldn't swing my DFX for more than 3 or 4 hours. Now, I am lucky if my legs and back hold out for a 3 hour hunt. When I get to the site I take a couple Advil and that helps a little. Getting old ain't for sissies!

That's a long day, but worth it with the finds there. A few years ago in England we did the standard 9 hour day hunts - but after 5 or 6 of them in a row I was tuckered.
