Hey guy's looking to replace my old home weather station (La Crosse WS-1510). Seems everything has batteries at that need to be added to the array. Seeing I mount this on my roof not looking to go up and change those batteries.

Anyone know of a decent unit about $200.00 that is solar powered.

Did see this one:
Newentor Weather Station Wireless Indoor Outdoor with Rain Gauge and W (https://www.newentor.com/collections/weather-station/products/newentor-weather-station-wireless-indoor-outdoor-with-rain-gauge-and-wind-speed-professional-tempest-digital-weather-stations-with-data-logging-and-alerts-weather-forecast-barometer-solar-powered)

On a different forum members told me Ambient weather stations are solar powered and the batteries are just for back up.

Sorry I can't help here. Haven't needed a weather station or a weather forecast in nearly 25 years. I can just look out the window and yep, it's dark outside. The wifey on the other hand just steps outside and her lumbago dictates the weather. She's been 100% accurate since I've known her. One beautiful summer day she insisted I take my umbrella to work, despite all forecasts saying no rain in the near future. Gut some strange looks and ridicule from some coworkers. But guess who was laughing after work being the only one standing outside in a downpour at the bus stop with an umbrella? lol
