Senior Citizen Gets Nabbed!!

New school in a new city 2:00 am and I am burning the turf on a new baseball field. Look out to the street and there's a patrol car behind my jeep. 3 seconds later I see the policeman bearing down on me. I yell to him HELLLOOO... I AM JUST METAL DETING FOR COINS.. OK He does'nt say a word till he gets up on me and says... did you find anything? I told him, yea few coins want to see? He says yea. After I show him what I find he ask for my ID and runs my mug. At this point I am thinking ok... whats next? He tell's me that I can't be on private property. I tell him I did'nt know that open public schools were private poperty. He calls his sarge and ask him. Sarge say's it depends on the school. So we walked out to the street and he tells me to call the school for permission and turns me loose just as back-up arrives. Big sigh of relief !!!!
At this point in my metal detecting adventures it is time for a change, The coin bandit is now profiled in 3 cities and 3 times is a charm. Do'nt want to chance a fourth so I am headed back to the mountains to pursue my quest for gold and silver. Oh.... I will still check in on everyone now and then.

awe he was just bored and needed something to do rofl I wouldnt let it bother me cliffy esp since you are in the right happydance02 unless the school is a private school and is a public school you have nothing to worry about thumbsup01 i never go and ask permission on public property i was surrounded by several staff and a police car at a community college :boxing: but once they seen what i was doing they asked if i had permission i said no that it was community property and they left. but if they would have asked me to leave i would have. :white:usaflag::
