But my question is does the gov't , mint coins other than (D) Denver?

Here is a list of all the US mints, past and present. I think it's complete :dontknow:
P (or no mint mark ) = Philadelphia Mint (1792 to present)
C = Charlotte, North Carolina (1838–1861 - Gold coins only)
G = Dahlonega, Georgia (1838–1861)
O = New Orleans, Louisiana (1838–1909)
CC = Carson City, Nevada (1870-1893)
D = Denver, Colorado (1906 to present)
S = San Francisco, California (1854 to present)
W = West Point (1988 to present)
M (or no mintmark) = Manila (Philippines) (1920-22, 1925-41)

I live in Georgia and always wnted to find a Dahlonega mint coin. It's been hard to do since they only minted gold coins though. Here's a link to the mint history:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dahlonega_Mint. Try and stay cool everyone.

pale rider, If I lived around there, I would be looking for that too |:confused:) You would have to see where they were distrbuted, and who would have received them and if they spent their life locally. Sometimes the coins are minted in one place and used as military money and are shipped elsewhere. We have a similar coin (token actually) called the Higley copper. It was minted around Granby, CT and is really rare. Can't find one of those either lol Here is that link again to your gold coins. I couldn't get yours to work. Hopefully it is the same article.
