Hi from Lexington, KY! Got my first detector (which I still have) in 1974
and started hunting the following spring as soon as the snow melted.
Still long for the days of my Garrett Groundhog, but love my lightweight
Tesoros of today

Compadre, Silver, Tejon :perfect10:

and picked up a 1972 Garrett non-disc TR just for the heck of it

Hi Epi-hunter!

It's a rare occasion when I hear of someone else in Lexington who likes
to metal detect. I have been here 12 years and have only seen someone
out treasure hunting a couple of times. Lexington is a difficult place compared
to Indianapolis, my hometown. Finding good places to hunt in Lex can be a challenge. The lack of historic properties that are easily accessible has been
a perplexing issue. Your detecting adventures in Cinci sound interesting. It is always good to hear that there are good things to be found, especially in the more heavily hunted park areas.

Welcome to American Detectorist kamogawa. :clapping: Glad to have you here with us.
Looks like you were detecting back in the 'glory' days of metal detecting.
Have any interesting stories?
