Met up with a couple of you guys this weekend in a park up here near my house, thought I'd give you a shout out and a happy hunt wish!

Only fair, as I'd been down your way in the northern Illinois hinterlands over the last couple months revisiting a few spots I hadn't seen in years.

Saw Rob, Silverstar and Il Digger along with a few others this weekend. Not sure what all your handles are but hope you guys got some goodies at one of my old home town parks.

Had a good hunt with Milco a couple months ago closer into Chicagoland and I've known and hunted with his uncle a few times over the past few years.

Work a lot of the woods around here as time allows and all the street work I can find anywhere. It's just too easy on those sidewalks and parkways when they do the digging for you so I go after all those targets of opportunity.

Didn't stick around there too long this weekend, thought I'd let you guys get your fill of the place as much as time allowed. Back when I started hunting that park, the V's and Barbers were laying on the top of the ground throughout the wooded area there along with IH's and all the goodies since then. (and LOTS of junk)

The other day I didn't stick around too long, got a 1902 IH mixed in with some old shell casings down in the woods.

Today I did a short walk through after talking to Rob and did pick up a '20 wheatie on the surface before heading off to another spot. Shades of yesteryear!

Send me a note next time you're headed up this way and I'll get you over to some of the easier pickins in this town.
