found on the same tiny piece of field where i have now found 9 ct coppers....... piece of an old key ? but i just dont know......looks like a number 2 or 7 in the middle.....any idears folks ?

wow it realy is amazing what a camera can see that the human eye cant........if you look at it upside down do i see a birds head ? or a snake ?......follow the circle round like its a birds neck.

hey Lee it almost looks like an old pocket watch winder key but i need to see it compared to something like a coin for reference.

yeah Lee , i'm pretty sure its a pocket watch winder key. |:cheering: |:cheering: pretty fancy one at that , it was probably silver or golt plated at one time. a nice find , just futher evidence to show that there was probably a house site on that piece of property your detecting. :beerbuddy:
