A Couple Hunts Yesterday

I normally do not do schools but gave one a try yesterday and found that it had been cherry picked because there were pennies all over the place and I started to leave them myself. However, I found a couple pieces of silver that they had missed.

Although not old, I really like the 300 year Jamestown Exposition anniversary sterling medal I found along with the silver ring.

Headed home for a break and decided to hit a spot close to home that I have hammered and have made some very nice finds there in the past. It did not let me down. A 1908 V nickel, a lead soldier, lock plate and a 1926 wheat rounded out my day.

Looks like some nice items from hammered out places. Congrats, really like the Exposition medal.

There wasn't a wheatie in the lot and I quit digging them. However, if had gotten a deeper hit I would have dug them.

nice hunt! that WWI soldier is pretty crude.seems it wasn't finished yet with all that extra metal in the spots where it shouldn't be. pretty neat stuff!
