OMG....I have no idea but I think you just found something special!
thanks, I'm thinking its the best thing I ever found !
WOW, that is very cool! Congrats! :shocked03:
Holy Moly Calabash! You could be on to something special there brother.
Wow, never seen anything like it. Very awesome looking find, suspect possible museum piece! Try contacting your local museum or local experts. Thinking maybe the Smithonian could have interest due to its possible historic relevance.
My hunting partner found one that sold over at heritage auctions and they have only ever handled 2.. They said there are less than 10 known examples known to exist.
So it seems you know more about it than the rest of us. Since your friend sold his, just curious what something like that is worth?
No you didn't read the post correctly or I didn't word it correctly. He found one over there that sold a few years ago.... not his he doesn't have one its one someone else sold. We do not sell relics....
Great cufflink CD , you can try to contact this gentleman http://www.georgewashingtoninauguralbuttons.com/# and send him a picture . He might be able to give you some info or point you in a direction .
Dan
My buddy found some info on it at heritage auctions but not much other than they had sold 2 over the years for people and they claim there are less than 10 known to exist. Thanks I will contact him..
Ok, took a while for the new posts to come up. Thanks for clarifying!

What an amazing find!! Congratulations on getting another awesome piece of American history! I think it's interesting that he went with IO as the abbreviation for John. "I" being the Latin letter that predates the invention of the letter J in the English language. Very interesting indeed! Thanks for sharing and HH Dave.
thanks ,I saw the same thing in 1611 Bible where they spelled Jesus with the I. I'm still pumped about it.
Beyond awesome. You have to think it's mate might be lurking in the same area
Could quite possibly be "find of the month" if you lobby hard enough
that would be cool ....
Amazing find! I agree that it has to be your best find ever.
