    Seated, Park, Cellar

Hi all, Got out to a cellar hole yesterday morn and a park this morn. About 90min each, until my water was gone. It still amazes me how New England can be a frozen tundra then a bug infested jungle in a matter of weeks  The cellar hole- Pewter shoe buckle frame, two wheats, cuff button...

    Morning Micro Hunts

I get out for an hour most mornings. I've been hitting a park this week, although this AM I did hit a cellar hole which (surprisingly) wasn't too pounded. Found a button, buckle, and a copper in an hour. The take, Kennedy Half KG Copper Unicorn locket 2 1940 Kronur from Iceland (made into a...

    Shoe Buckle and Keepers

I just saw Jared Bucknut's post, so I'll post this then head over to his for a closer look. I couldn't take it all in! :shocked04: I dug these at two cellar holes in between 100s of dig holes. The buckle was 15 feet from the lip and a musket was near that. Every cellar hole gets detected every...

    Re-Find Keepers Sorting Through Buttons

Morning All, As usual I was up with the daylight and started sorting my buttons. I made a pile of dandies, tombacs, pewter, and ball. I found a couple of colonial cuffs inadvertently thrown in... an 1880s Central RR of New Jersey button... and a CW style Boston School Regiment...

    CellarHole/Park Hybrid

Hi everyone, Previously at this site, I've found everything from a late 1600s coin to yesterday's surface covid coins. The keepers are self-explanatory... but that little crudely ornate buckle is interesting. I don't think it's a knee buckle as the pin is oriented like a shoe buckle and the...

    Interesting Skunking

Hi Fellow Quarantiners/Hunters, WARNING, this might just be the ramblings of a holed up Nutmegger... My hunts are usually about 90min... and many of my sites are super quiet until that one good hit....so I often get skunked, I have the luxury of being able to hunt on most days (when not...

    Mystery Copper, Unicorn/Lion Button

Hi Friends! I haven't been out in forever! We moved a few weeks ago, to a condo, downsizing...it's that time of life. Only three mile away from my old house so all my permissions still stand :thumbsup01: I got out today after working from home until noon. I went to a field I've never found...

    Washington Inaugural Button!!!

I FINALLY GOT ONE!! :bananadance: Maybe 10 Years ago Dan took me to my first cellar hole and as we were all working a skunking he said that someone must have found a GW button here for it to be so pounded. Since then I wanted to find one. Since then I've hunted 100s of holes, some near the...

    1895 Barber Half!

We've had some warm days around here so this morning I tried one of my fields. I could work a shovel into the ground and leverage out the frozen top layer. It's my second Barber Half this year. Happy New Year everyone!!

    Real Counterfeit or Real?

A few field hunts of late netted everything in the picture save the Half Real, which was found this morning...in my yard! Don't hate me  It was six or seven inches down and rang up like a zincoln, which is a bit lower than the other reales I found...but not much. It looks odd too. The...

A week ago Thursday my wife successfully ended her year-long battle with cancer!! She is cancer-free and just doing Immunotherapy now. Heavy Silver Ring

A series of short hunts after work produced the following items. Hay field and a park. The Wheats are oddly 1917,1917,1918, then 40s. The ring weighs .4 ounce. I'm digging deeper coppers with a few years experience on the Nox but the condition of them has plummeted.
