Only one silver found today but it was a nice one.

Found this 1936 Washington Quarter at a 1920s house a friend and I did a random door knock at today. The woman was very nice and let us hunt both the front and back yards. My friend found a sweet 1922 Peace dollar but scratched it real bad with his digger. I also found several wheats with the...

Last one of the night. More jewelry finds.

Found these over the course of the last couple months. The square piece looks like a late 1800s early 1900s Onyx pendant with a diamond in the middle. The other pieces are a Sterling Catholic medal and a Sterling ID bracelet. Must be old because there are only 8 numbers. Have a nice night.

Excalibur sword and 1950s? cowboy belt buckle.

The little sword was a neat find and I wonder where it came from. Maybe it was part of a childs toy figurine. The belt buckle is made of brass and is about 2 1/2 inches long by inch and 1/4 tall. No markings on either. Thanks for looking.

    Recent button finds.

I found all 4 of these buttons recently on different hunts at different locales. The flower swirl one had some sort of gold leaf around the edges that fell off during cleaning. I will post a better pic later. The little bear button was found buried in a bag and its near pristine. Very odd. The...

    1800s cufflink?

I found this at and older home in a suburb close by. I believe it is from the late 1800s. There are no markings on the back I can see. Pretty cool enamel work.

    Couple of silver spoons.

I found these hunting in my subdivision at a couple of houses that were torn down and made into prairie grassland due to constant flooding of the DuPage river. The houses were built around 1960. They came from the same yard coincidentally. Both are marked STERLING on the back.

    Couple of jewelry finds.

The "J" is 14kt and the ring is not marked but did test out as silver. Found both at a religious institution I have permission to hunt. :)

    interesting non-coin finds

Here are some interesting non-coin finds I made while hunting here in St. Louis. The telescoping cigarette holder came in the little lipstick like tube. Its marked Folda on the end. The St Christopher medal is marked STERLING on the back. The derringer pistol cap gun is cool as well. Thanks for...

    Saint Louis area.

I am at my Sisters house for vacation this week in the Saint Louis area. Let me know if anyone is interested in a hunt or two. I don't mind door knocking as it seems to really pay off. I have scouted some great areas over the last few years. Ricky.
