Digger Don

Alec and I got out for a few hours this morning. We planned on hunting all day, but Alec's allergies knocked him out of the game early. We hit 2 houses. The first one i dug an 1894-S Barber quarter.

At the second one, I dug an 1899 " Philadelphia Record Newspaper" Token. It was almost 10 "

[TD]This old token is marked - Home Of The Philadelphia Record - 1899 and shows their building.
This newspaper was in business from 1877 to 1947.
The back side shows Independence Hall - Birthplace of the Declaration of Independence - 1776

You sure did have one heck of BIG silver weekend!! :envious:
Congrats!

Hope your feeling better Alec. :crossfingers:

Man! Another Barber Quarter! You find SO MANY big old silvers! You find barbers and SLQ's like I find Wheaties! Congrats!

I guess you got tired of digging SLQs so now it's Barber quarters?? Next month will be a wave of seated quarters no doubt! Another great post Don. HH, Dave.

Nice finds. Luckily there haven't been any hindrances shortening hunts, other than plans later on. That token is pretty cool. Good that u have scored a lot of silver lately.
