I'm posting this from my phone so bear with me. I had to show the 1897-O barber half dollar that I found after work this evening. It was along the sidewalk where the county tore down a bunch of houses in a small town.

He's Back,:clapping: Awesome finds Tony. What a feeling that must have been seeing that huge Silver in the hole. And from the 1800s too !!!
Nice job on the Indians as well.:congrats:

You're right, it is a semi-key date! I hadn't even looked it up yet. Only 632,000 were minted and it guides for $160 in G4 condition!

Nice score Tony.:congrats: Did my finding a barber Sunday force some competition? Odd there were lincolns and IH, no intermediary wheats. Lucky you that the pics right from your phone were good. Mine show perfect in the phone gallery, but when I post them (mostly to FB) they are turned 90 degrees. An extra step to search the picture details to see the orientation. On here I have the option to transfer via USB and use MS pic 2010. Or laptop with picasa to edit first.

Great sidewalk hunt! You definitely don't see those Barber halves in real life very often, although there have been quite a few on AD recently. And it's a semi key date to boot!

:congrats: Tony

No WAY!!!!
I always wonder how people can lose half dollars like that. That is an incredible find!!!! Congratulations! :wow: Still waiting for my first....
