Finally got out Yesterday!

Got out of work at 9:00 and met up with my cousin in a corn field that neither of us had been to before. The 1850's map shows a house in the middle of the field and the owner told us there use to be a barn there as well. Found the iron infested area and just went slow. Ended up with a nice 1865 Indian and a worn copper laying right on top. My cousin found a nice 1876 seated quarter on our way back to our trucks.

Sounds like a nice, relaxing day with some good finds! |:cheering:

You gotta love those old coins that are laying right on top of the ground! Can you tell what the copper is?

Always!

Sounds like you need to get back there ASAP. Some nice coins you pulled. If you found the home area then there sure is to be more.

Time well spent and a good place to revisit. :congrats:
Nice time of the year for outdoors, John.

Hopefully this weekend. This is how we cellar hole hunt in NY lol most everything is a field so you keep moving until you find the iron debris area.

Hey, that's cheating lol I'd hit that place from another direction. A lot of targets hide in that iron. Angle of attack is crucial. Hope you get some more goodies thumbsup01
