Gnat a fun time

Headed out at 6:30am with Mike to get our weekend hunt in. We went to a field that Mike obtained permission to detect last week. The grass was a little too high. Every time I got a signal and went down to dig, I got attacked by a million gnats. In my eyes, ears, mouth. We ended up back at the vehicle to douse ourselves with 100% DEET! We gave it an hour and decided to go back another day after they mow.

Headed across the road where we were last weekend. Found the cut British penny piece. Must have been a pendant or something. Nothing on the back.

Not a lot of finds today but still fun. Can't wait to get back out to the farms...

cool cut out coin.them gnats are nuts.they were born to commit suicide i think.they go right for the eyeballs :blackeye: on our outings and they don't taste all that bad!
