Indian Head Spill, Silver, and Abe Lincoln

I got out with my wife's nephew Moose yesterday at a couple of permissions he got for us. The day started off great with a spill of 3 Indian Heads. I also found 2 Mercury Dimes at this site.

At the second site I didn't find many old coins, only one wheat cent, but there were some moderately interesting relics.

Here are all of my old coins for the day:

Here are the relics:

I had no idea what this object was, but a quick Google search tells me it is the face off of an antique Pennwood Model 1364 clock from the 1930s.

I also found this small pin that featured a bust of Abraham Lincoln. I could not find an example like it on the internet.

Thanks for looking and happy hunting! :beerbuddy:

Great finds Tony. I always loved those 1888 cents--they just look cool to me. Glad to see a couple silvers in your pouch too. That clock face frame is the bomb though! 100% Art Deco (my favorite)! Hopefully Moose can get you some more good permissions. Happy hunting my friend, Dave.

That is a really old digital clock, Tony! I was talking about analog vs digital clocks this morning. Do you know students can't read analog anymore? They don't know what "quarter after" means. The adults were trying to figure out how long a certain class period was but all we had were cell phones... and it's difficult to visualize digital time.
Good looking tap too!
That Lincoln thing might be your find of the day though!? I hope more info becomes available.

Great spill and all have the identical patina. great group of coins. Looks like early winter is treating you well. Good Luck on any more hunts you can get in. Congrats WD

Tony, it may be some variation of the Abraham Lincoln Essay contest medal that started in the 1920s by the Illinois watch company.
Whoa! :shocked04: Good call on the possible Abe pendent! :thumbsup02:

And a good job finding it Tony!! It looks like a Roman coin, only with Abraham Lincoln on it!
I might have to agree with Drew in that, that might be the find of the day! Of course silver is ALWAYS good!
Good hunt Tony! :thumbsup01:
Congrats!

It's amazing how as long as you have a few words on a relic it's possible to find it on the internet. Where's the rest of the clock? Maybe it was buried a little deeper lol
