Large Cent, couple of IHPs

Lodge Scent

I only had a few hours this morning so I hit the pounded cellar hole 5 minutes from my house to see if I could sniff something out of the iron. The cellar hole is mid 1800s and has lots of iron trash.

I was pretty surprised I was able to find 5 coins and other nonferrous targets. The Large Cent came out of the ground in good shape.

Hit a mini pocket spill consisting of a 1904 IHP, and 1909 (no VDB) and 1921 wheatie. All these finds were within 20 feet of the cellar hole.

Pulled a 1863 fatty IHP, button, an odd brass piece, lamp part etc,

Before and after deer pics. I posted this winter kill doe a few weeks back.

This is all that's left of her now.

Ticks were out with the warm weather.

Great looking LC and :congrats:on all those keepers. I think that after you get done with that site then it can be called "pounded"

Now that is a very nice Large Cent and the Fatty is a super find as well.....you get an official"Done Good" for this hunt!

Nice large cent and collection of coins from the "pounded" cellar. Its amazing the amount of targets people miss despite hitting a site countless times. Way to go :congrats:

Echo the others' comments on the LC...in great shape, and can clearly see most of the denticles on it. In fact it's in as good a shape as the wheaties.
