Back to my 1880s permission got a nice pair of scissors with brass handled and iron shears ( they dont make then like that anymore!) a nice 1908 Indian and this weird button, around the edge it says POT.MAX.INV.CAES.MAXIMILLA above the bust is the date 1493, when i first saw it pop out i thought it was a george Washington memorial button, still looks like washington to me but the date is clear 1493 very very curious, thanks for looking happy hunting

The button is Austrian. As near as I can tell, these buttons were made from coins. But I don't know if that applied to all of them or just some of them.

Nice those scissor handles are cool would be nice if you could make some thing out of them what detector are you using couldn't find it in your bio
