My first real finds.

I have just unearthed my first real finds from a church yard sidewalk not too far from my house. :)

Here I have some sort of military pin or button? and a 1935 Buffalo Nickel.

Cool buffalo and button. I only found 1 buffalo and it's too far gone to get a date. Congrats on a great hunt.

Thanks all.

del, not sure if it is a button, unless it is for a shirt? It is really small....it is about 5/8ths inch in diameter.

A couple of really nice finds you got there thumbsup01
And if you can get a buff with a date...you found yourself something nice!
Congrats

:clapping: Way to go!!! Love the button :smitten: I found one of those a couple months ago and it's one of my fave finds... too bad you don't have the back to it (2 part button). You can pinpoint the date more accurately by the manufacturer on the back. Maybe you could find it, if you remember the area you found the front part :thinkingabout:

Mine says New York City Button Works which dates it between 1903 -1922 which told me it is a WWI button vs WWII.

Oh, that small? Hmmm, mine is about the size of a half dollar... Maybe it's a shirt sleeve button/cuff link thingy??

Just ask Coinnut lol Seriously, he knows a lot about buttons.

Way to go switch! :clapping: Finds like that would keep me happy.
Congrats on the nice button and Buffalo. Churches are such a great place to hunt.

Great button, and I'm still digging pull tabs looking for my first buffalo.

I was starting to get sick of all of the one way signals that I kept trying to single in on so I put the detector on relic and zero mode lol

Since there isn't really much junk aside from nails and aluminum siding bits in this church yard I might just leave it on zero and clean up the yard next time. :)
