My two best coins yet

I did some hunting on Sunday, and long story short wound up with my two best coins yet. Both very unexpected and both in very nice shape, which is unusual as it feels like anytime I find anything really old it's in terrible condition. Anyway, check 'em out! The cent is my oldest and by far in the best shape of the three I've found. And the dime is my first US silver from the 1800's. Needless to say I've been feeling pretty stinking giddy since digging these up. And I'm glad to be able to share them here!

Thanks!

EDIT - yikes those pics are big... lots of new things to figure out here!

WTG Z! Those are some great looking coins! I would be hitting that place over and over! You sure did it right for your first 1800's silver! Seated no less!

Holy smokes! :shocked04: Those are fantastic looking coins! The photos are great! I'm with Dale... I feel like reaching out to touch them. Great finds Z!

Epi... They were found at different locations in the same day. But each spot was a schoolyard. In both instances the school were built in the late 50's. Between the two in the same day I also scored 16 wheat pennies, a 1943 nickel, two Mercs (one 1916, no mint mark), and a 1960 Rosie. I'll attach another pic.

I'm all about school yards. They are just about the only places I hunt.

Great coins!!!! Chances are that they were in some dirt that was brought in to the school yard. Other than that, they may have been something older than the school there, before it was built. But I would be back there in a heart beat to see what else was brought in. Great job!!!

Great looking coins. Don't ya just love this hobby. That LC and seated are fantastic finds. I'd take coinnuts advise and hit that area again and again. Huge congrats

Two beautiful coins and in great shape too. I agree, you can't go wrong in a school yard tons of targets to dig. Looks like you got some sweet hunting grounds there, lets see some more! :perfect10:
