Howdy JT!
Man, I surely am delighted to see you arrived safely from the land of the lost. (as in moderators who lost their minds and got all surly to their customers and run 'em all off. Can't wait for their next profit/loss statement to arrive on Mr. White's desk!)
You have just discovered the best forum on the net. This is a place where you can rely on being treated with respect, where your dignity won't be infringed, and you can retain a mind of your own. The American Detectorist does not require that you check your brain at the door when coming in!
By now you are learning how many of the gang are here. What's even more exciting, is all the new folks you'll be meeting on this forum. Not only have they welcomed us with open arms over here, they have jumped right in and started posting back and forth with us like old friends.
The more I think about this, the more I believe that the whole episode on the other forum was to bring us something better. There are a couple of forums imploding out there, and the American Detectorist shines like a lighthouse over a turbulent sea. You can find safe harbor here, and let them abusive sites slowly die by mote of their own hubris.
But I digress.
As usual.
The point is, I am really glad you decided to join us here, and I believe you'll find this a real great place to hang your headphones when you ain't out detecting!
