Hello Everyone,

My name is Jay I live in Bristol,CT home of E.S.P.N. I have been wanting to get a metal detector for a while now so I finally broke down and bought a Fisher F75. My first day I just messed around with it in my back yard and was shocked to find a piece of the Statue Of Liberty within the first 10 minutes. If anyone is in the Bristol, CT. area and wants go on a hunt to teach me the ropes let me know. Here is a picture of the coin I found made from the metal of the Statue Of Liberty when they repaired it in 1982 I think.

Hopefully this is a sign of treasures yet to find |:cheering:

hello Jay , welcome to AD you'll find alot of members here from Connecticut including myself (up in Enfield) . theres a great detecting club (Yankee territory coinshooters) that meets every month on the second tuesday at the east hartford library . its a great way to meet fellow hobbyists in the area and maybe find a detecting buddy .glad to have you here Jay ,

I took groups to lake compounce for the last 26 years. Always enjoy your town. You have some serious looking silver spots there. Go get 'em! :groovy:
