well , yesterday George and i went playing in the windy rain lol lol it was unseasonably warm but raining on an off all day . i chose a place that i wanted to take Mike a couple of weeks ago (George picked that place out and it was a awful , sorry again Mike) . Coinnut an i both did well here dispite the downpours >:\ >:\ also no action pictures because of the rain .

my goodies included a couple of musket balls some buttons , a wheatie , a lincoln memeorial ,a couple of iron buckles , a small brass heart-shaped lock ,a very nice ornate pewter spoon bowl a decorated doorknob that probably had glass or porcelin outer ring at one time .

heres the pewter spoon bowl , when you start to see them this ornate you know the family was well off .

and my find of the day

thanks for looking and get out there before the big freeze all.

Dan

Holy crap, that dime is a thing to behold! Wow! Not sure what I'd do with myself if I found a coin like that. I'm sure I'd need to change my undies and then lay down for a while. WOW! lol

Yow! I was lusting after that pewter spoon bowl until I scrolled down and saw the dime ! Beautiful find Dan :perfect10:

Sweet!!! I've not yet even found one of those, never mind in a condition such as that. I can only hope :daydream:

So, it ended up being a '32? :clapping: Sweet dime. :smitten: Not a scratch on it either. We worked our tails off, but came up with some nice goods. No marking on that spoon I take it? My haul is below. I couldn't match the dime, but did pull out some silver of my own. 2 coppers and some trashed civil war buttons rounded out my hunt. It was fun until the sky got black and the flood gates opened up lol

yeah the a '22 would of been extremely rare with only 100k minted but the '32 is just a bit over 500k minted so its still a great year.

i like the button and religeous medal |:cheering:
very nice trime and matron head George

Awesome finds and simply an amazing dime you have found. Got to be worth $250+. What is the little blob by the star at 10 o'clock? Minting error? Congrats and HH, Dave.

thanks Dave its a blob of extra silver almost cone shaped, looks like it could be a minting error .

Great hunt fellas. I know you two usually hunt on Fridays and while I was at work yesterday I was thinking about wether the two of you would brave it in the elements. I guess my question was answered, it certainly paid off.

Gorgeous dime Dan. That one is still on my bucket list :perfect10: :clapping: :smitten:

George, love the cleaver looking thing and great find on the trime :cheering:
